Community guidelines
A social space for real work. We help each other build, learn and ship our own things, and we keep it a place worth coming back to.
What this place is for
Build together
Say where you could use a hand, offer yours, and when both sides say yes you work on it together in the same project. Collaboration here is the real thing, not a gesture.
Real work over status
There are no follower counts, no rankings and nothing to farm. A post earns attention by what it shows and what it gives. This is not a popularity contest; it is a place to show the work.
Help each other learn
Ask when you are stuck, answer when you have been there, and mark the answer that helped. What one person figures out becomes something everyone can use.
Newest first, like it used to be
The feed is chronological. No algorithm decides what you see or rewards what provokes. You see what people posted, in the order they posted it.
A social space that is a workspace
Posts link to the real thing: a project, a task, a launch page, a playground piece. Ask from a task, post from a project, save a good answer into your own work.
Building your own thing
Timace is for building something of your own that gives you more independence. The community is here to help you get there, one step at a time.
Work, made more fun
Shipping alone is hard. Share the small wins, cheer on other people's, and enjoy building next to people who get it.
How to show up
- Share progress with the work attached, including the rough parts
- Ask specific questions and say what you already tried
- Answer from experience, and say when you are unsure
- Offer help where you actually can
- Give credit to the people you built with
- Disagree with ideas kindly, and with reasons
What does not belong here
Anything meant to put people down, hurt them or sell at them is removed, and people who keep doing it lose access to the community.
- Putting people downMocking, belittling, dismissing someone's work or someone for being new.
- Hurting peopleHarassment, threats, hate, or targeting anyone for who they are.
- Self-promotionAds, sales pitches, cold outreach and links dropped to drive traffic. Sharing your own project and how it is going is welcome; selling at people is not.
- RecruitingJob posts and hiring. This is a place for building your own thing, together, not for finding employees.
- Gaming attentionEngagement bait, posting the same thing again and again, or trading likes.
- Deceiving peopleImpersonation, fake work, or passing off other people's work as your own.
- Sharing private thingsOther people's personal details, private projects or messages without their consent.
When something is wrong
Report it
Every post, comment and profile has a Report option in its menu. Reports go to the Timace team.
Block someone
Blocking someone hides their posts from you.
What happens next
Content that breaks these guidelines is removed. Repeated or serious cases mean losing access.
